About Us… We are dedicated hunters who have found the best solution for our upland & waterfowl game needs in this amazing French dog known as L’Épagneul Breton or for those in English speaking countries have become known as the “French Brittanys” (Brittany Spaniel). As a bilingual speaker I am fortunate to have access to the many types of media, and literature that encompass history, lineages, and practical necessities that help us to better understand the character, intelligence, and working aptitude of these little “Bonnes a tous faire” which are full of joy, life and energy. I have owned Bretons/French Brittanys since early eighties, primarily under the kennel name “Sirocco”, we have since registered a more appropriate name “du Marais Ombré”. Fond of the outdoors I grew up hunting Ruffed Grouse, Woodcock, Hungarian Partridge, Ducks, Geese, Hare and Big game in my home province of Québec. That passion developed into a love and dedication to fully understand this breed. We are always looking for the best hunters and those that best fit the breed standard. We continue to learn, work and breed to its full potential this wonderful companion, partner, friend and hunter. We hope that through these web pages we can help you appreciate this very special companion.
